Author's Note: We moved to Butte, Montana in 2007 with the dual purpose of caring for Ruth's elderly mother, and planting a church. That church plant was eventually unsuccessful, but through that process, the light still managed to shine and dispel the darkness of that city. When we first started taking concrete steps towards establishing the church, we expected that God would be bringing others to us who would grasp the vision and join us in the work. Butte is/was very dark, in a spiritual sense, and I knew that anyone joining us would need help as they entered into th
Everyone's Blog in Prophecy
I found it deeply disheartening last January when Joe Biden took office and moved into the White House. America has fallen, once again, to the rule of those opposed to Christ, to those opposed to all that is good. Most serious Christians are deeply disappointed in the outcome of the elections and in the man who now sits in the White House. Since then it has been especially difficult to watch the President and the Democrats in Congress systematically destroy freedom in America, establish unrighteous laws and policies, and squander our taxes. They seem to be especially zealous in their di
A word of prophecy that came to me the end of November, 2016. It is directed at prophets and prophetically gifted people.
I've been continuing my efforts to finish A Primer on Spiritual Warfare, a blog I wrote while we were attempting to plant a new church, Living Water Fellowship, in Butte, Montana. There are a couple of new posts there and here's a link to it. It is an on-going project, so I suggest you follow it to get notifications of when I post. If you haven't read the beginning of the blog (and are interested in the topic) scroll down to the bottom and read from th
Here is the latest from Loren Sandford. We need to listen to what he has to say.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am trying to finish up a blog called A Primer on Spiritual Warfare that I wrote a few years ago. In order to do that I need to share two dreams that punctuated both the beginning and end of the church plant in Butte, but before I can do that it’s necessary that I explain a few things about prophetic dreams. All this prophetic stuff is weird anyway, and now I’m adding dreams to my list of weirdnesses? Yes, it
Last summer, after the political conventions were over, the Lord showed me that the two choices being offered to the American people were, on one hand, a judgement on our nation or, on the other, an opportunity to obtain mercy.
For those of you interested in the Prophetic Movement and are seeking to understand what God is doing these days with what seems like a bizarre and aberrant ministry, here are some thoughts you might be interested in.
A few days ago I read a newspaper article that claimed ISIS – the terrorist group that has been murdering people in the Middle East – has a full complement of terrorists in place in the United States, all ready to kill, murder and destroy in the name of Islam. That certainly is an alarming statement! It is also an easy one to believe when you consider how our government has failed to protect our borders from these monstrous people.
I led out Chapter 2 of Understanding the Prophetic Nature with a short dramatization of the prophet Micaiah speaking to kings Ahab and Jehoshaphat. I used the phrase "the spirit of prophecy kindled in his soul…" to describe his experience of delivering God's word to these two foolish kings.
