Describe a time when one of the Manifestation Gifts operated through you.

Does the idea of speaking in tongues yourself or being near someone who is speaking in tongues make you uncomfortable?  Why?

The author detailed six benefits that flow from the gift of tongues.  List them.

Review the story of young Jake, the budding prophet/pastor.  Suppose you were his pastor – how would you react if he came to you claiming that he saw demonic activity going on in your church?  (Be as honest as you can with your answer.)

In Eph 4:11-16 the Bible lists the fivefold minsters.  Is there a reason for the order in which they were written down?

Is there someone in your life/church who seems to “see” more clearly than others in the spirit?  Would you say this person is simply operating in the gift of discerning spirits (1 Cor 12:10), a full-fledged fivefold prophet, or simply a prophetically-oriented person?

Some people are called to eldership in the church, others to fivefold ministry, others to some other kind of ministry that relies on giftings that flow from the Holy Spirit.  Everyone is called to and gifted for some kind of work for the Kingdom of God.  What is your calling/gifting and how are you living it out?

Read 1 Kings 22:1-29.  Micaiah was imprisoned after he delivered the words of Yahweh to Ahab.  He probably knew at the outset that this was likely to happen.  Did he have to prophesy?

The author uses the phrase, “…the spirit of prophesy kindled in his spirit…” to describe Micaiah’s experience of prophesying before King Ahab.  How does the concept contained in that phrase relate to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit experience?
